These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your participation in the JustFamily Program, a free educational and community offering by JustChoice, hosted on Podia.
By accessing or using JustFamily’s courses, community discussions, or downloadable materials (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms as well as Podia’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
1. Purpose and Philosophy
JustFamily exists to make family-building education more transparent, inclusive, and justice-oriented. We share information, context, and lived experience so that you can make informed choices for yourself and your family. Our programs are educational in nature and are not a substitute for professional advice or individualized care.
Every person’s path is unique. What you learn here should be thoughtfully integrated with guidance from qualified professionals who understand your specific circumstances.
2. Legal, Medical, or Therapeutic Advice
Nothing shared through JustFamily should be interpreted as legal, medical, psychological, or financial advice. Even when licensed professionals (such as physicians, social workers, or attorneys) contribute to a course or discussion, their participation does not create a professional-client relationship.
Legal Advice: Always consult a qualified lawyer regarding adoption, foster care, reproductive law, or any legal process.
Medical Advice: Always consult a licensed medical professional for reproductive, mental-health, or other medical care.
Therapeutic Relationship: Participation in any JustFamily content or discussion does not establish a counseling, fiduciary, or therapeutic relationship.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for how you apply the information presented and agree to seek individualized advice as needed.
3. Community Expectations
JustFamily is a community of people helping people. To protect that spirit, participants agree to:
Engage with respect, curiosity, and confidentiality
Avoid hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory behavior of any kind
Protect personal stories shared by others
Use discretion when discussing sensitive topics, especially involving children, expectant parents, or marginalized groups.
We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or restrict access to any participant whose conduct disrupts safety or integrity in the space.
4. Intellectual Property and Use of Materials
All videos, PDFs, workbooks, and other materials provided through JustFamily are the intellectual property of JustChoice or our content partners.
You may use these materials for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, distribute, alter, or resell any materials without written permission.
If you quote or share excerpts publicly, please credit: “JustFamily by JustChoice”.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JustChoice, its team, partners, and contributors shall not be liable for any loss, harm, or damages resulting from:
Your reliance on information obtained through the Services;
Technical issues, downtime, or data loss
Interactions with other community members.
All use of the Services is at your own risk.
6. Relationship with Podia
JustFamily is hosted on Podia’s learning platform.
Podia handles account registration, payment processing (when applicable), and data storage. Your use of the Services is also subject to Podia’s own Terms and Privacy Policy.
JustChoice does not control Podia’s operations and is not responsible for any interruption or data handling by Podia.

We may revise these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in our program or the law. Updates will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date. By continuing to use the Services, you agree to the updated Terms.
